Hessian Culture

Hessians values are deeply rooted in Romantic idealism. Hessians do not believe in innate values, but believe we must choose a path using the scientific method in examining nature. In a Faustian vein, they worship power, beauty, and horror, lacking a moral code to divide the world into "safe" and "bad." If Hessianism has a motto, it is plus ultra -- go further.

Here are some general Hessian values:

* Enjoy Hessian music - Black Metal, Death Metal, Ambient, Neoclassical, Neofolk and Classical

* Turn off the TV and pick up a book - switch on your mind

* Engage in debate - stimulate the mind

* Engage in manual labor - stimulate the body

* Find others that agree with you - work as a team, individual voices in a sea of noise will not be heard

* Forget Individualism - you look exactly like everyone else. Transcend fashion by ignoring it

* Uniqueness and greatness are not born from laziness - Great people act upon their dreams

* Live in Harmony with Nature - Reject modern society and transcend materialism

Tiens, intéressant d'en parler. J'avais découvert le site il y a des années de cela, car c'était en lien sur le bien nommé, http://www.anus.com. Il m'avait semblé que "l'idéologie" était la même. Mais je n'ai trouvé aucune preuve que Vijay Prozak était aussi l'auteur de ce site.

C'est pas exactement axé "romanité". Huhuhu! -->

La dernière fois que j'ai entendu parler des hessiens des U.S.A. c'était dans "Lord of the Barnyard" ("Le Seigneur des porcheries" en français) de Tristan Egolf. Pour ceux qui ont lu le bouquin c'est rigoulo.

That label implies above all the war-like attitude towards life that metal and other neo-classical forms of music promote.

je crois que c'est la notion de "Faustien" qui est à débattre (d'ailleurs on en a jamais trop parlé ici, ô joie, que d'enculage de mouche en perspective!).

Faustien ça veut dire quoi? Etre prêt à faire outrepasser la morale pour dépasser sa condition, ou bien troquer son moi "spirituel" contre de la satisfaction matérielle?

Peut-être que par "scientific method" ils entendent quelque chose comme la "rigueur scientifique", rien de plus. Ce n'est pas spécialement moderne en somme. Rien à voir avec une forme de scientisme.
